Review: Just Dance 2026

I did a review of this franchise before here. Still not the best dancer around, never will claim to be. Get your body limbered up, especially your back (as I don’t get younger, my back starts to hurt, so I need to pay attention there). Got my reviewcopy from Ubisoft (thank you ubi) and put on my blue suede shoes and started busting a move. Did I do well? Did my opinions change?

What is just dance?
For those that have been living under a rock. Just dance is one of the only (if not the only) game where you can dance the way they do, without needing a dance mat like in Dance Dance Revolution. The xbox and playstation version still only let you hold your phone to dance, so it really only tracks your right or left hand, but the iphone and android versions let your video yourself so it tracks your whole body. I haven’t tried the iphone or android version of the game, so I can not say with 100 percent certainty how well it works, but the tracking of the cellphone holding, due to the app you need to download is spot on, nothing really changed compared to the 2022 version (the previous version I played).

The phone holding is still tedious as ever, so nothing really changed there.

What do you get in the package?
Still the same as in the previous version I played. Nothing else changed. Still 40 new songs. Don’t change a winning combination Ubisoft must have thought.

The add-on
Still the same. Still just dance unlimited that you need to pay for, so besides paying for the game, they expect you to pay for just dance unlimited as well. What I think is nice is that it integrates previous version songs as well, something I didn’t know last time, but you get those as a download as well as owned content.

Wants and needs for future games
Still would have loved to see more disabled people in the game. They dance too. Still the same wants and needs of the previous article. Nothing really changed to be honest.
